Trek to Kalsubai Shikhar....
19th AUG 2012
05:15hrs. Me in the deepest sleep in the middle of night and my cell beeps with a message – "Utha aaj jayche ahe na trekla" immegiate call from rashmi- saying she left Panvel and on the way to kalyan where we deside to meet @ sharp 6:00 AM,on Intention to take local of 6:30 Am,But fortunate rashmi and her friends as usual on late clock,n obvious we missed the plan.

Bus ?? -basically i avoid to travel by bus due to my back pain,so i convinced all to prefer bus,n all convinced.
ha ha ha ... train - My fav. mode of transport ...
and finally inquired,lined ,and boarded on the TAPOVAN express...
as our plan was already dismissed,no plan and timing noted by any1.. ~ 7:15 Am,
and further Lots gossips,Sweet Couples talk,fight,Physical fight... time runes fast..

As - Igatpuri - to - Ghoti(Rickshaw) - To - Barigaon (Jeep/).
i hardly remember any event as i was sleep.
and like this we reached barigaon.(Base of the kalsubai shikhar).
We´d just started hiking up Kalsubai. I had met Lalita and deepak friend of Rashmi and now mine too... They(Rashmee and Dipak) were then backpacking and exploring little known places in the sahyadari during their free time A down to earth guys and you could easily fall in sync. with them in minutes.
Finally at about 8:45 hrs I´m able to get the line across to start the trek .
The weather was pleasant. It was not raining and cold wind was blowing. We started trek now. Going through the village and the school, we crossed the river. This river has water up to knees . Well we were lucky, the water was chilling. The way becomes slippery in monsoon, but it’s a fun to see people slipping off.(Rashmi and dipak were Phd in this) Going up is easy and slow; where as coming down is fast and quite more slippery. We reached the Bari temple in 30 mins.
From here it takes 15 mins to reach the first ladder. We all were enjoying like anything. Sometimes in between in slightly rained. It was very fogy and hence we could not enjoy the valley views.camera showing only white background,and rains ruined our chances to took the pics.
Here we saw a checkered keel back snake in the well. Now it was final ascend, the third ladder. And soon we reached the top. The wind here blows like anything. Rain was pouring very hardly here. We somehow got adjusted front the walls of the Kalsubai temple. But still it was very chilling as we already wetted by rains.
We had some pan cakes,muffins, biscuits here. Saw the views, but it was too fogy. And after 20 mins we started to descend. It was now very very fogy but somehow we descended very quickly. It was really a quick descend. on the BABA's tapari we had bajii and a full cup of tea. i wondered for baba's presence @ the age of 70.and without wasting time i took no. and autograph of babajee,as of my hobby.
NO idea how i pinged to get shower in the waterfall and i jumped in water and had a great refreshing time.
after some time i realise a thrilling of the trek..??
in the bath time, i forget my trek friend tht they leaved me alone.
Now what ??

(Lalita and Rashmee - u can interfere with the blog by writting comment below on this topic can metion much better than me ... )..
who asked me for KHAVU or Paisa and i offered them Rasana packet but they denial so i gv paisa
finally We met village at around 5:30 PM. and then went to the ST bus stop.
All that comes from the other end is mumbled talk of what happened from lalitha. Apparently lalita seen feared while moving downhill, as the rout became slippery and dangerous due to stumbled over a rough patch. and had a scary fall downhill.With major bruises there was very limited scope.
I´m not someone to fall in for lame superstitions. But this time, Sunday the 21 th does seem to have been favorable to me. I´d better stop thinking on it,..(Just rashmee knows and hope not reveal in future..).
